Hunger Game Moms

The other night I went to hear the producer of “The Hunger Games” movie, Jon Kilik, speak at the University of Vermont. At one point during a Q&A, this women stepped up to the mic claiming there were  young children in the audience when she saw the movie, and said that perhaps the rating should have been higher since it is ‘tailored toward and adult audience’. Jon replied by saying, “I couldn’t disagree with you more”, and the two went on to have an awkward, but interesting, heated debate. So I made this comic!:

A while ago I saw this going around on Facebook

And how seriously smart is it? But it made me take a good look at my knowledge bank and realised that I have noooooo idea who the last row of artists are. Actually, along with the last row, Gericault, Malevich and Kline are all so unknown and so not hollywood.

Communication Arts Magazine conducted their photography competition in 2011 and selected my image of an abandoned gas station in Ojai, California as one of the winners.  It was featured in their printed annual and on their web site.

Fantastic photograph. Reminds me of an Edward Hopper painting.
